Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains custody of all township records.
Maintains general ledger for all 8 accounts (must be kept on separate company files)
Enters all Deposits slips into proper
Fund Account and Bank Account
Prepares warrants (checks) for township checks to be approved at meeting
Prepares Payroll checks and payroll taxes
Does bank reconciliations and saves documents in PDF format for each fund (12 total reconciliations)
Creates Journal Entries for payroll taxes for each department
Prepares monthly Expenditure report to be approved at each meeting
Records and maintains township meeting minutes.
Keeps the township book of oaths.
Responsible for special meeting notices.
Publishes board meeting notices
Keeps township Ordinance Book.
Keeps township Resolution Book
Keeps township Policy book
Prepares the following financial statements: Profit & Loss (current board requests bi-monthly),
Quarterly UI Report, 941 monthly online payment, 941 Quarterly
Report, – W2 at end of year for all employees, 1099 at end of year for all contract employees, maintain copy of insurance on all contract employees,
Delivers L-4029 tax certificates to supervisor and county clerk by September 30 and June 30.

Voter registration records
Elections
Election Commission Chairman and secretary of Election Commission meetings
Work with Auditor yearly
FOIA Coordinator
Budget (prepares spreadsheet with previous year’s budget/actual, and current current Budget vs Actual
Update Township Account with MTA
